Thais has always loved telling stories, growing up as an only child in Trinidad and Tobago, her imagination blossomed with the worlds she created to keep herself entertained. Growing up in America, her artistry was further honed and she graduated from the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU, where she studied theater.
Her work in theater has been seen at Radio City Music Hall, on international stages and her original stage play OUTCRY has been many times produced and featured in American Theater Magazine. Her debut short film Late Expectations has garnered critical acclaim including the Discover Award from Essence Black Women in Hollywood and she has gone on to lend her talents to media giants such as BET Networks and Amazon Studios, as a writer and performer. Some of her work has been featured on Essence and Variety.
In addition to writing and filmmaking she has founded The Natiguh a company that infuses film and acting with speaking engagements to inspire and help marginalized individuals free themselves from mental slavery. Storytelling has always been Thais’ medium for connection and through her ventures, she is creating worlds and a legacy that will stand the test of time. She enjoys collaborating with artists, brands and businesses that are interested in creating impact with a focus on inspiring and elevating underrepresented groups.
